How do I trim a clip?

Import, record, or add a song, then drag the waveform’s start and end handles to set the range. Drag the middle of the selection to move it without resizing it. Use the small handle below the red line to place the playhead precisely.

What’s the difference between Free and Pro?

Free includes up to three projects and five tracks per project. Pro is a one-time purchase—not a subscription—that unlocks unlimited projects, unlimited tracks per project, and the Recycle Bin.

I paid for Pro but it isn’t unlocked.

Open the paywall by tapping the Recycle Bin icon or trying to go over a free-tier limit, then tap Restore Purchases. This restores a purchase already tied to your Apple ID; you will not be charged twice.

Why can’t I add a fourth project or a sixth track?

You have reached the free-tier limit. Delete something to free a slot, or unlock Pro for unlimited projects and tracks.

Can I recover a deleted project?

With Pro, deleted projects stay in the Recycle Bin for 30 days. Tap the trash icon on the main screen to restore one. On the free plan, deletion is immediate and permanent after confirmation.

How do I use an exported clip as a ringtone or text tone?

iOS does not let apps install tones directly. Share the exported file to Files or AirDrop it to yourself, open it there, then choose Use as Ringtone or Use as Text Tone to add it under Settings › Sounds.

Can I add audio from other apps?

Yes. From the Share Sheet in Files, Voice Memos, or most other apps, choose Audio Cutter to bring audio in directly.

Does Audio Cutter need internet access?

No. Recording, trimming, merging, and exporting all happen on your device. Audio Cutter has no servers and no account system.

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?

No. Your audio remains on your device unless you personally choose to share or export a file with the iOS Share Sheet. Read the Privacy Policy for details.

Recording or Apple Music import is not working.

Check that Audio Cutter has microphone and/or Apple Music access under Settings › Audio Cutter, then try again.
